Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park on the edge of the western rift valley is rich in birds, chimpanzees, monkeys, butterflies, and the endangered mountain gorillas. It is also one of the largest natural forests in East Africa, with both montane and lowland forest. It is rich in the second half of the world’s mountain gorillas, while others are found in Djomba and Bukima forests in the neighboring Congo. There are seven gorillas families open to visitors in Bwindi National Park, namely; Rushegura, Mubare, and Habinyanja accessed through Buhoma; Ruhija accessed through Ruhija; and Ishongi, Nkuringo, and Gahinga accessed through Kisoro. Alternative activities include volcano mountain climbing, guided nature walks in the forest in search for primates, birds and butterflies.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport - Kampala
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met and welcomed by your Paradise Safaris’ guide and transfer you to your lodge, African Roots Guest House for Overnight –conveniently located close to Lake Victoria and its beach side amenities including restaurants and bars, African Roots guesthouse Entebbe offers traditional home-from-home hospitality in a comfortable, modern and tastefully designed setting. Day 2: Transfer to Mbwindi National Park.
Rise for an early morning breakfast and embark on your safari vehicle with your guide to Mbwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is rich in a diverse of primates and other life, including; birds, chimpanzees, monkeys, butterflies, and the endangered mountain gorillas.
It is located on the edge of the western rift valley and also one of the largest natural forests in East Africa, with both montane and lowland forest. It is rich in second half of the world’s mountain gorillas. You will be given a warm welcome at your hotel, Travellers Rest Hotel for dinner and overnight, located just outside Kisoro in the southwestern corner of Uganda. It is an enjoyable journey as you drive southwards –passing charming attractions en-route; the equator, drum makers, local roadside markets, en-route lunch of the local chef’s daily twist as you proceed to Bwindi, which is about 9 hours drive; 2 hours flight. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up on melodious songs of forest birds as for a sunrise breakfast, and enjoy the breathtaking at your hotel. Go gorilla tracking (subject to availability of gorilla permits at time of booking), carrying a packed lunch. A guide and porters who will carry your shoulder pack for you will accompany you. You will then set off to the thick forest in search of gorillas. The terrain can be difficult, with steep slopes covered in dense vegetation that gives the park its name.
In addition, the altitude of 5200 feet and more means participants do need to be physically fit. The time taken to track the gorillas vary enormously, from as little as half an hour to as much as 7 hours before one returns to camp. Difficulty, however, is not impossibility and coming face to face with the great primates is well worth it! Dinner and overnight. Overnight: Travellers Rest Hotel. Meal Plan (FB).
Day 4: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport
After Morning Breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer (drive or fly) back to Entebbe International Airport & in case you arrive in time, you will go for shopping and later be dropped at the airport. Meal Plan (BB)
